To truly experience the rich history and culture of the Dominican Republic, join us for an all day tour of Santo Domingo, the oldest city in the Americas.  Riding in a modern, clean, and comfortable bus, you will be entertained by a professional guide making this trip both lively and informative.  You will see many interesting sites along the way, including the Chavon River, which has been featured in films, such as Apocalypse Now and Rambo.  You will see baseball fields where more major league baseball players have been discovered, per capita, than anywhere in the world.

This site seeing tour includes stops at La Tres Ojos (The Three Eyes), an underground cavern with three breathtaking natural lagoons; the Columbus Light House, and the Colonial Zone, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Within the walled Colonial Zone you will stroll through Columbus Park, the first Spanish town square in the Americas, as well as touring the first Cathedral ever built in the Americas.  Of particular interest will be a tour of the Columbus family home, built in 1510, where Diego Columbus, son of Christopher, resided with his wife and seven children.

Included is a delightful buffet lunch, with traditional Dominican cuisine, complete with colorful and energetic local dancers.  Enjoy multiple shopping opportunities for unique and authentic Dominican products and souvenirs.
